You guac my world!

Happy Friday!! Every Friday I will be sharing different snack foods to accompany your ‘it’s 5 O’clock somewhere’ drink and I’m starting with my fave! Guacamole is my absolute favourite snack, I love the flavours and the freshness and when you’re dipping it always seems to last a little bit longer than when you have a bowl of chips on their own. I tend to bake my own chips as it’s a slightly healthier alternative and I’ve even regularly used slimming world’s whole wheat wraps to make delicious chips! I’ll share a how-to on these over the weekend but first let’s focus on the guac! This particular recipe whilst simplistic is my boyfriend and families absolute favourite and I’m regularly spending Friday afternoons mashing avocados to ensure the perfect accompaniment for a cheeky margarita to finish off the week!   


  • 3 Ripe avocados
  • Juice from a Lime
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 Large shallots
  • 7 Cherry tomatoes


  1. Cut the cherry tomatoes into small pieces
  2. Dice the shallot
  3. Smash the avocado so that no big chunks remain
  4. Squeeze the lime juice and mix in
  5. Add shallot and tomatoes
  6. Season
  7. Enjoy!
